Ingredients

  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • ½ teaspoon ground ginger
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cloves
  • ¾ cup butter room temperature
  • 1 ¼ cups packed brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cup overripe bananas

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
  • Whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger and cloves. Set aside.
  • In a large mixing bowl, using an electric mixer, beat together the butter and brown sugar until it is creamy.
  • Add the eggs and beat until combined.
  • Stir in the vanilla and bananas. Blend until fully combined.
  • Gradually add in the dry ingredients and mix just until combined.
  • Drop a heaping scoop of dough onto the prepared cookie sheet.
  • Bake at 350 degrees F for 11-13 minutes until the tops of the cookies are slightly brown.
  • Remove and place on wire rack to cool.
