Amazing, fork tender pork smothered in Homemade Jack Daniel's BBQ sauce.

- 5 lb (2.3-2.7kg) pork shoulder roast If roast comes with thick skin, remove and discard.
- kosher salt
- pepper
- 1 medium onion chopped in large chunks
- 3 cloves garlic
- 3 cups Homemade Jack Daniel's BBQ sauce recipe link
Generously rub pork roast with salt and pepper.
Press chunks of onion and garlic into roast.
Place in the slow cooker and cover with the Homemade Jack Daniel's BBQ sauce.
Cook on low setting for about 8 hours (6 hours on high setting), until pork falls apart easily. Turn pork every few hours.
Transfer the pork to a cutting board, discard onion and garlic chunks. Shred the pork using two forks to pull apart.
Transfer the shredded pork back into the slow cooker with the sauce to keep warm until ready to serve.
Serve with fresh, crusty buns and a pickle.
