Candy Cane Popcorn Balls

Ingredients

  • 12 cups popcorn popped plain
  • 4 ounces white chocolate good quality
  • 1 bag white mini marshmallows 10 oz/ 250gram size
  • 2 tbsps butter
  • ΒΌ cup crushed candy canes
  • 12 candy canes used for the stick

Instructions

  • Pop the popcorn in microwave, transfer to a large bowl. Remove any un-popped kernels.
  • Chop the white chocolate into small pieces. Melt in the microwave at 50% power, stir occasionally. Cook just until melted, do not overheat.
  • In a large bowl melt the butter in the microwave.
  • Add the marshmallows and stir to coat with the melted butter. Return to the microwave and heat until the marshmallows have melted.
  • Drizzle the melted chocolate over the popcorn. Toss to coat all the popcorn.
  • Slowly pour the melted marshmallows over the popcorn, stirring constantly to coat all the popcorn.
  • Sprinkle with the crushed candy canes, tossing throughout the popcorn.
  • Coat your hands with butter and form popcorn mixture into balls.
  • While the balls are still soft insert a whole candy cane in the popcorn ball to form the stick.
  • Let set until firm. Store by wrapping in plastic wrap.
