An easy Homemade marinara sauce recipe that is bursting with flavor. Perfect for pasta, pizza sauce and more!

    - 1 can  crushed tomatoes with juice 28oz size
- 2 cloves garlic  finely mined
- 1 cup onion  finely chopped
- ½ tablespoon dried oregano
- ½ tablespoon dried basil
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon sugar
- salt to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
 
    
        - In a large skillet heat olive oil, and sauté onion and garlic until soft. 
- Transfer to a pot. Stir in the tomatoes, oregano, basil, black pepper and sugar. 
- Season with salt. 
- Simmer on medium heat until the sauce reduces and thickens (about 30 minutes). 
- Serve with pasta, chicken parmesan or as a pizza sauce. 
- Optional: Garnish with fresh basil leaves and parmesan cheese.
