An easy Homemade marinara sauce recipe that is bursting with flavor. Perfect for pasta, pizza sauce and more!

- 1 can crushed tomatoes with juice 28oz size
- 2 cloves garlic finely mined
- 1 cup onion finely chopped
- ½ tablespoon dried oregano
- ½ tablespoon dried basil
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon sugar
- salt to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
In a large skillet heat olive oil, and sauté onion and garlic until soft.
Transfer to a pot. Stir in the tomatoes, oregano, basil, black pepper and sugar.
Season with salt.
Simmer on medium heat until the sauce reduces and thickens (about 30 minutes).
Serve with pasta, chicken parmesan or as a pizza sauce.
Optional: Garnish with fresh basil leaves and parmesan cheese.
