Lean ground turkey, a variety of beans and veggies simmered together with flavourful spices.

- 1 ½ lbs ground turkey
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 red bell pepper chopped
- 1 medium onion chopped
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 1 can (28 oz/794ml) diced tomatoes not drained
- 1 can (14oz/398ml) can red kidney beans drained and rinsed
- 1 can (14oz/398ml) pinto or Romano beans drained and rinsed
- 1 can (14oz/398ml) black beans drained and rinsed
- 1 ½ cups frozen corn
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 2 teaspoon unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- ½ teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
- ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- salt and pepper to taste
In large skillet heat oil, add ground turkey. Season with salt and pepper and cook until browned.
Transfer to slow cooker.
In same skillet add red pepper, onions, and garlic, cook until slightly tender.
Transfer to slow cooker.
Add tomatoes, beans and corn to slow cooker.
Stir in cumin, cocoa powder, paprika, oregano, cayenne pepper, red pepper flakes and Worcestershire sauce.
Season to taste with salt and pepper.
Cook on low heat 3-4 hours or high heat 2-3 hours.
