    Yes it is that time of year again; New Year's resolutions and a time of fresh starts. Did you over indulge during the Holidays? I am certainly guilty and now have a few extra pounds causing my jeans to be feeling a little too snug. The overload of sweet, high carb treats and high fat food have taken a toll on my waistline as well as my energy level. Are you feeling tired and sluggish, wanting to live in your sweat pants or pyjamas? Time to get back in control by eliminating the sugar, high calorie carbs and detox the body. Drinking an abundance of water will help you kick start that diet, detox and give you that much needed boost to get back on track!

    I make up a large jug of flavored water the night before with an abundance of healthy detoxifying ingredients to sip throughout the day. Here are 7 days of my favorite Diet Boost Flavored Water Recipes. A refreshing way to help curb your cravings for sweets shed those excess holiday pounds. Be sure to get your daily dose of fresh air and exercise and you'll be feeling energized soon!

    Day 1 Apple Cinnamon Cranberry Water

    Ingredients: apple slices, frozen cranberries, cinnamon sticks, whole cloves, and fresh grated ginger

    Tall glass of water with apple slices, cranberries and cinnamon stick.

    Day 2 Citrus Twist Water

    Ingredients: Slices of grapefruit, orange, lemon and lime, fresh mint leaves

    Tall glass of water with grapefruit, lime and lemon slices.

    Day 3 Cucumber Celery Parsley Water

    Ingredients: cucumber slices, celery slices, fresh Italian parsley, fresh basil

    Tall glass of water with cucumber, celery and parsley slices.

    Day 4 Cucumber Citrus Water

    Ingredients: slices of grapefruit, lemon and cucumber, fresh mint leaves

    Tall glass of water with cucumber, grapefruit and lemon slices.

    Day 5 Mixed Berry Water

    Ingredients: blueberries, blackberries, strawberries and raspberries, fresh mint leaves

    Tall glass of water with strawberries, blackberries, blueberries and mint.

    Day 6 Pomegranate Kiwi & Mango Water

    Ingredients: fresh pomegranate, kiwi slices, mango slices

    Day 7 Melon Medley Water

    Ingredients: cubes of watermelon, cantaloupe and honeydew melon, fresh mint leaves

    tall glass of water with cantaloupe, honeydew and watermelon chunks.

    Some more great options to add to your flavored waters:

    Fresh leaves of mint, parsley, basil, cilantro, rosemary

    Spices such as cinnamon, cardamom, turmeric, cloves, nutmeg

    Freshly grated ginger, grated coconut, and coconut water.

          Yes Sandra, the flavoured waters are an aid to help you stay on track with diet of your choice, they are so tasty you have no problem getting your 8+ glasses of water in a day.

        Do you have to drink a different drink everyday or can you just stick with the same mix for a week?

        Natural flavoured water certainly helps, I make a big jug the night before so the flavours infuse and sip it all the next day.

      That mixed berry water looks gorgeous!! I'm surprised that you are using kiwi; I also like to do that, but kiwi doesn't give its juice away, so it needs to be pureed and added manually. Still looks good, though 🙂
