Broccoli salad with chia and hemp seeds is a great tasting, nutritionally loaded recipe!

This recipe for Broccoli salad with chia and hemp seeds is certainly a Super Food Salad!  Loaded with nutrient dense ingredients this makes a great lunch dish or side salad with some grilled chicken. Toss together with your favourite low cal, low fat dressing or try my Fresh Herb Dressing.

Broccoli Salad with Chia and Hemp Seeds

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup shredded broccoli
  • 1/2 cup shredded carrots
  • 1/2 cup shredded red cabbage
  • 1 tbsp hemp seed
  • 1 tbsp chia seed
  • 1 tbsp sunflower seeds
  • low calorie dressing of your choice or try my fresh herb dressing.

Instructions
 

  • Shred broccoli, carrots and red cabbage.
  • Add hemp, chia and sunflower seeds.
  • Toss with dressing.

      Are you sure that is shredded Broccoli, it looks like courgette/Zuchini to me!

      Hi Dawn, yes that is shredded broccoli, not sure why you ask, if I had used zucchini, I would have called it that!

    I just bought a bag of hemp seeds for smoothies. I love the idea of adding them to this broccoli slaw.

      Chia seeds are great on all kinds of salad, I sprinkle them on my cereal, on peanut butter toast. Such an easy way to get extra nutrients.

      Diana I get mine at Costco, but any health food market should carry them.
