Ground Turkey is a great healthy, lean alternative to ground beef and this recipe for Turkey Meatballs is amazingly delicious!

I often serve Turkey Meatballs with my homemade Marinara Sauce. Add a great salad and pasta and you've got a sensational meal.


Turkey Meatballs
Ground Turkey is a great healthy, lean alternative to ground beef and this recipe for Turkey Meatballs is amazing!
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 1 medium onion finely chopped
- 1 clove garlic minced
- 1 cup carrots coarsely grated
- ¼ cup fresh parsley finely chopped
- ¼ cup Italian seasoned breadcrumbs
- 2 tablespoon Chili Sauce
- 1 egg lightly beaten
- 4 strips thick cut bacon if making burgers
Instructions
- In a large skillet heat oil, cook carrots and onion until tender and golden, about 5 mins.
- Stir in garlic and cook 1 min. Set aside to cool.
- In a large bowl, combine the turkey, parsley, breadcrumbs, chili sauce, egg
- Add cooled onion mixture. Mix until just blended, don't overwork or burgers will be tough when cooked.
- Form into equal sized meatballs.
- Place meatballs on greased or foiled lined baking sheet (I spray with cooking oil)
- Bake in preheated oven 375 degrees for 25-35 minutes or until internal temperature 165 degrees.

Form into equal sized meatballs. Place on greased (I used cooking spray)  baking sheet and bake in preheated oven 375 degrees for about 30 mins (internal temperature of 165 degrees)
This recipe also makes terrific burgers, wrapped in bacon for extra flavour or omit the bacon for low fat version.

Hi Becca,
Yes they grill very well, just make sure the grill is well oiled, sear, then continue grilling using alternate heat grilling. (burner burger on off, other burner on high)

I would serve the meatballs with a simple marinara sauce.

I pureed some spinach in a little water, then mixed the spinach paste in! Super good!

I am use to dry turkey meatballs but the addition of carrots onions and herbs I think made these things nice and moist. This is my #1 meatball recipe at home. Very happy I found it.

It is a hit with my family as well. The recipe also makes great burgers, wrapped in bacon.(not as healthy though)
